ashington, led by Attorney General Nick Brown, joined four other states in filing an antitrust suit against Seattle‑based Zillow and Redfin over a $100 million agreement that allegedly gave Zillow control of online rental listings, sidelining Redfin and causing hundreds of layoffs. Brown warned that fair competition is vital amid the housing crisis. The Federal Trade Commission has also sued the pair, alleging they unlawfully stifled rivals, and the lawsuit seeks to restore competition today.
