he city of Jamestown recently sold a parcel on West Second Street to facilitate the patio expansion project at Shawbucks. The sale was made to TLJKBJ, LLC for $1,000. According to Crystal Surdyk, Jamestown's Development Director, the city will maintain utility access via an easement and provide Shawbucks with additional space needed for their outdoor patio structure.
In a review of real estate sales in Chautauqua County from August 27-30, The Post-Journal and OBSERVER found that there were 69 transactions. Ten of these sales exceeded $250,000. Notable sales include:
* A parcel on Shadyside Road in Mina sold for $820,000.
* A property on Maple Avenue in Chautauqua Institution sold for $660,001.
* A condominium unit in Warrawee Condominium, Concord Avenue, Chautauqua town sold for $547,500.
Other sales included a parcel on Emory Drive in Jamestown selling for $250,000 and a vacant parcel on E. Livingstone Avenue in Ellicott selling for $50,000.
