arch 6, 2025 – Slinger, WI – A new era has begun at Slinger Speedway with Travis and Kelsey Dassow taking the reins as owners. The couple is thrilled to introduce themselves and share their vision for the iconic track.

As lifelong racing enthusiasts, Travis and Kelsey have a deep passion for the sport that dates back to their childhood days of go-karting. They both went on to compete in Late Model and Super Late Model Divisions before meeting at Slinger Speedway. Their love story blossomed into marriage, and now they're bringing their expertise as car owners with Apex Motorsports to track ownership.

Kelsey's connection to the racing community runs deep, having received the Alan Kulwicki Memorial Scholarship while attending UW-Milwaukee. This opportunity not only helped her advance her engineering career but also forged a lasting bond with the Kulwicki family and their legacy.

As they embark on this new chapter, Travis and Kelsey express gratitude to those who have supported them throughout their racing journey. They thank their families, fellow car owners, sponsors, fans, and the Slinger Speedway staff for their unwavering support.

The Dassows are committed to preserving the track's family tradition of Sunday night racing while bringing fresh perspectives and new opportunities to the table. With their two children, Harlie and Easton, already involved in the sport, they're excited to continue the family legacy at Slinger Speedway.

As they look forward to the 2025 racing season, Travis and Kelsey extend a special thank you to Todd and Elizabeth Thelen for their invaluable assistance during the transition. They're eager to build on the track's rich history and create new memories with the community.
