ilton & Hyland has appointed Steve Katz as its new Managing Director, following the departure of former President David Kramer last week. Katz joins the Beverly Hills agency from Sotheby's International Realty, where he was primary services manager. He will work closely with Chair Lori Hyland and General Counsel Chrystal Ferber to manage day-to-day operations and develop a growth strategy.
Katz brings over two decades of experience as a branch manager at Coldwell Banker Realty and is tasked with recruiting and retaining agents. The firm's year-to-date sales volume exceeds $251 million, with additional sales expected in the coming months.
Ferber described Katz's appointment as "a statement" that reflects Hilton & Hyland's commitment to strengthening its leadership team and refining operations. With Kramer's departure to Compass, where he has taken his six-person team and $1.7 billion in career sales, the firm aims to bolster its management structure.
