T
he former Storms Motors dealership at 729 County Road 39A in Southampton has hit the market for $13 million. Located in the town's business district, the property offers a range of potential uses beyond its automotive past. The 132,000-square-foot lot includes a 7,900-square-foot two-story building from 1965 and features over 300 feet of highway frontage and electric vehicle charging stations.
While a dealership is an obvious possibility, the listing suggests alternative uses such as a medical facility or retail complex. A proposal for a medical building with up to 15,000 square feet has already been put forward. The property would break down to $1,645 per built square foot if sold at asking price, making it one of the most notable commercial listings in the Hamptons this year.
The sale comes after Otis Ford acquired Storms Motors earlier this year and decided to close the Southampton dealership. Black Beach Holdings LLC purchased the property last August for $7.4 million. The listing is held by Saunders & Associates' Lee Minetree, who notes that commercial properties in the Hamptons with eight-digit price tags are a rare occurrence.
