After leaving Maine for Florida over twenty years ago, Shellianne settled in Melbourne, drawn by the sunshine, beaches, and vibrant community. Her family soon followed, attracted by the same coastal allure. Living in Melbourne for 24 years, she has watched the county transform—new churches, schools, neighborhoods, and shopping centers sprouting across the region. “It’s exciting to be part of such a dynamic area,” she says.
Her everyday life reflects the Florida lifestyle: leisurely walks in local parks, boating on the Intracoastal Waterway, visits to the Brevard Zoo, support for family‑owned shops, and enjoying live shows at the Cocoa Village Playhouse. “These local gems add so much cultural vibrancy and charm to our community,” she notes.
Shellianne’s personal story is one of resilience. In 2021, she lost her husband of 35 years to COVID‑19. “Losing someone you love is incredibly tough, and the void feels deep,” she reflects. “But you have to push through, take care of yourself and your family, and trust that love will return in time.” Today she is engaged and looking forward to a new chapter filled with love and fresh experiences.
Family remains central to Shellianne’s life. Her children, raised in Brevard County and educated in its top schools, now have families in Palm Bay, Port St. John, and Pensacola. She is a proud grandmother to six grandchildren who keep her heart full and her days busy.
