State Seizes Cancun Development Office Over Illegal Lot Sales

Officials shut down a real estate office in Cancun, Q.R., that sold lots without permits.

S
tate authorities in Cancun shut down a real‑estate office that was selling lots without permits or licenses. The central‑city location was seized after the Ecology Department of Benito Juárez filed a complaint. The State Attorney General, together with municipal police, executed a search warrant at the office in Supermanzana 15A. Investigations revealed the project on the Alfredo V. Bonfil ejido lacked permits, licenses and construction authorization, and the company had advertised the lots without proper documentation. The Specialized Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the absence of construction and commercialization permits. During the raid, officials seized project files, computers, cameras, recording gear, promotional materials, mock‑ups and physical models. The office is now under the custody of the State Attorney General’s office.
