A
rare studio unit in Carrie Bradshaw's fictional Gramercy Park townhouse has sold for $900,000. The garden-level space faces Manhattan's exclusive Gramercy Park and is part of a seven-unit co-op with a coveted key to the park.
The property, located at 3 Gramercy Park West, was featured in the third season of HBO's "And Just Like That," where Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, dashing in and out of her new Greek Revival-style pad. The real-life unit has pre-war charms, including pocket shutters, high ceilings, and wide-plank floors.
However, there's a catch: the studio lacks a kitchen, a feature that was removed before the sale. The sellers, Kathryn and Milos Brajovic, had plans to connect their two units but ultimately decided to part with the studio instead. They bought the unit for $900,000 in 2020 and sold it at the same price.
Core broker Emily Beare represented the sellers and noted that the missing kitchen was reflected in the sale price. "It wasn't an easy decision [to sell], because these types of properties don't come up very often," she said. "They're really special."
The studio's bathroom is ready to go, but the new owner will need to install a kitchen. The unit boasts four closets and park views, making it a desirable space for fans of Carrie Bradshaw's fashion sense. Beare called the $900,000 price tag "a very good price for a studio without a kitchen."
