risha Filippone, Vice President of Public Private Partnerships at Suffolk Construction, will speak at the P3 Academic Facilities & Student Housing Conference on January 22, 2025. Filippone specializes in public and private K-12 education and higher education, focusing on Public Private Partnership delivery. With over 32 years of experience developing, financing, and constructing nearly $10 billion worth of assets in Massachusetts, she is a recognized leader in the industry.
As Executive Director of the University of Massachusetts Building Authority (UMBA), Filippone oversaw a $3.1 billion growth plan that included building and renovating academic and research buildings, dormitories, and athletic facilities across five UMass campuses. She also managed numerous capital projects to improve teaching, learning, and student life.
Public Private Partnerships (P3) are long-term contracts where the public and private sectors collaborate on design, construction, financing, operation, and maintenance of a project. The 2025 P3 symposium will focus on academic and student housing facilities, providing insights into partnership trends and sectors to watch in 2025 and beyond.
