Summit Real Estate Supports Local Community with Willow Rising Fundraiser

Grand Island businesses unite for second annual golf tournament benefiting a local nonprofit.

A
Grand Island business, Summit Real Estate, hosted its second annual golf tournament at Indianhead Golf Club to benefit Willow Rising, a nonprofit providing emergency services for domestic violence and sexual assault victims. The event aimed to raise thousands of dollars for the organization.

Eric Wright, owner of Summit Real Estate, chose Willow Rising as the beneficiary due to their recent struggles following a fire that damaged their facilities. "We wanted to help them recover from the fire," Wright said. "Their story really resonated with us, and we're glad to be supporting them."

Willow Rising Executive Director Teshawna Sawyer expressed gratitude for the community's support. "It's overwhelming to see people come together like this," she said. "The donations, big or small, make a huge difference in our work." Sawyer emphasized that the funds raised will directly benefit survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
