EQUEST FOR PROPOSALS – REAL ESTATE BROKER/AGENT SERVICES

The City of Sedro‑Woolley invites proposals from Washington‑licensed real‑estate brokers to provide brokerage and agency services. The City seeks the firm offering the best overall value and intends to award a single contract for a three‑year term, with the option to renew for up to two additional one‑year periods. The total agreement will not exceed five years.

The City reserves the right to reject any proposal and to waive formalities in the evaluation process. It is not obligated to reimburse proposal preparation costs or to accept any expressed or implied services.

    Scope of Services

The selected broker will act as the City’s Owner’s Broker, responsible for valuing, marketing, negotiating, and selling real property and improvements assigned by the City. Marketing efforts must reach a wide audience at local, regional, and national levels to maximize value. The broker will also support City staff and legal counsel throughout contracting and closing.

    Submission Requirements

Proposals must be submitted electronically in PDF format to plane@sedro‑woolley.gov no later than 4:00 p.m. on November 13, 2025. Include “Real Estate Broker/Agent Services Proposal” in the subject line. Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered. All proposals and attachments will become part of the public record.

    Questions

Direct all inquiries to Peter Lane, PE, City Engineer, at plane@sedro‑woolley.gov. Detailed requirements and the selection process are available on the City’s website: https://www.sedro‑woolley.gov/resources/bids_and_awards/index.php (project title above).

    ADA & Title VI

In compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the ADA, the City will provide materials in alternate formats upon request (Serena Mynatt, ADA@Sedro‑Woolley.gov). The City also affirms non‑discrimination under Title VI, ensuring disadvantaged business enterprises receive full and fair opportunity to bid.
