ttorney General James Uthmeier's office is investigating a Tampa-based real estate investment firm, RAD Diversified REIT Inc., and its owners Brandon "Dutch" Mendenhall and Amy Vaughn. The probe focuses on allegations that the company may be violating Florida's Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act.

    Mendenhall and Vaughn have gained online fame as social media influencers promoting seminars that encourage investments in Florida real estate through their fund and associated subsidiaries. However, multiple investors have come forward claiming they've been misled and exploited by the duo.

    Uthmeier has issued subpoenas for RAD Diversified REIT Inc., Mendenhall, and Vaughn to provide documents related to customer complaints, marketing materials, banking records, and other evidence. The investigation aims to determine whether the company is using investor funds as advertised or engaging in a Ponzi scheme.

    The Attorney General's office has received several complaints from investors who claim they cannot collect returns or get their money back after investing with RAD Diversified REIT Inc. Mendenhall and Vaughn have until July 18 to respond to the subpoena and provide the requested documents.
