etter Homes and Gardens Real Estate Heritage Group has expanded its presence in middle Tennessee through the acquisition of Advantage Realty Partners, a Manchester-based real estate firm. The deal brings the company's total footprint to three offices and around 80 affiliated sales associates.
The acquisition aligns with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Heritage Group's strategy of growth through shared values and professional development. Melissa Sterling, principal broker and owner, stated that the brand's robust tools, technology, and support have enabled the firm to grow significantly since joining the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate network over a year ago.
Advantage Realty Partners, founded in 2007 by Lora and Mitch Umbarger, will be integrated into the Heritage Group brand. Lora Umbarger will continue as principal broker, while Mitch Umbarger plans to focus on his sales practice. The acquisition is seen as an opportunity for agents to grow personally and professionally, with access to a comprehensive marketing platform, expansive learning resources, and a continued focus on culture.
Newly affiliated agents will gain access to Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate's training platform, Be Better University, and the brand's suite of marketing tools. This deal follows a similar expansion in November 2024 when the company joined with Baker & Cole Properties, now operating as Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Baker & Cole.
