linn College has made a significant acquisition in the growing town of Waller, northwest of Houston. The college purchased 100 acres from Peter Terpstra's company, Terpstra & Associates, with plans to establish a new campus at the site. Located near the intersection of FM 2920 and Binford Road, this marks Blinn College's fifth location in addition to its existing campuses in Brenham, Bryan, Schulenburg, and Sealy.
The sale price was not disclosed, but Terpstra confirmed it was a multi-million dollar deal. This acquisition is part of Terpstra's larger town center project, a 450-acre development near U.S. Highway 290. The area is expected to attract big-box retailers as residential development activity increases, with the first parcels set to hit the market by summer 2026.
Terpstra has been acquiring land in Waller for years and anticipates the area's growth will spark interest from major retailers. His company recently sold 500 acres near Hempstead to H-E-B, which is building a distribution campus to support its operations. The demand for land in the area is expected to continue, with Wolff Companies' Beacon Hill master-planned community along Highway 290 also driving investment and development.
