ommie Wehrle, a Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate Learning Consultant, has been elected president of the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance for 2026, a U.S. LGBTQ+ trade body. The nonprofit also named Richard Woods first vice‑president for 2026 and president for 2027, Austin Rowe second vice‑president for 2026 and president 2028, Dan Darr secretary, and Rodney Mason treasurer. Wehrle brings 35 years as an agent, broker‑owner, and instructor. A University of Missouri graduate, she spent three years co‑chairing Anywhere Real Estate’s REALPRIDE group and now advises it from Milford, CT. “Our industry can lead the fight to eliminate home‑ownership barriers for marginalized groups, LGBTQ+ people,” she said. “The Alliance will expose discrimination, welcome professionals with LGBTQ+ children, and grow impact as membership expands.” Woods runs Woods Real Estate Services in San Diego; Rowe works with Onward Real Estate in Nashville; Darr is a Realtor at Equity Union in Palm Springs; Mason is a senior loan officer at CrossCountry Mortgage in Atlanta.
