house in Cortland that sold for $311,000 tops the list of most expensive residential real estate sales in Cortland County over the past week. Eight such sales were recorded during this period, with an average price of $196,813 and a square footage price of $117 per square foot.

    Here are the top eight sales:

    8. A single-family house at 5694 Telephone Road Extension in Cincinnatus sold for $69,000. Built in 1900, it has a living area of 2,105 square feet and was sold for $33 per square foot on May 12.

    7. A 560-square-foot single-family residence at 124 Pendleton Street in Cortland sold for $105,000 or $188 per square foot. It was built in 1930 and the deal was finalized on May 9.

    6. The sale of a townhouse at 2002 Alpha Circle in Virgil has been finalized for $172,500. Built in 1978, it has a living area of 872 square feet and was sold for $198 per square foot on May 9.

    5. A single-family home at 2438 Page Green Road in Virgil has new owners after selling for $211,500. It was built in 1968 and has a living area of 1,344 square feet, with a price per square foot of $157. The deal was finalized on May 9.
