elebrity real estate brokers Tal and Oren Alexander, along with their brother Alon, were arrested on charges of sex trafficking involving dozens of victims over several decades. According to federal authorities, the brothers used their wealth and prominent position in luxury real estate to lure women to isolated areas where they would be drugged and raped.
The indictment comes after years of accusations and months of lawsuits against the Alexanders. The alleged assaults are said to have taken place during their time with Douglas Elliman in the 2010s, a period when they gained fame as agents. Their connection to Elliman had been under scrutiny following the CEO's resignation in October.
Tal and Oren Alexander have denied any wrongdoing, with their attorney labeling allegations reported by The Real Deal as a "shakedown." However, the brothers' own brokerage, Official, has faced a mass exodus of executives and agents since the charges were announced. They have taken leaves of absence from the firm.
U.S. Attorney Damian Williams urged victims or anyone with information about potential crimes to come forward, stating that the investigation is far from over. The three brothers will face trial in New York after being arrested in Miami.
