etween January and April 2025, Ukrainian real estate owners paid UAH 4.32 billion in taxes on properties other than land plots, a significant increase of 17.8% compared to the same period last year.
According to the State Tax Service, Kyiv city led the contributions with UAH 911.6 million, followed by Kyiv region (UAH 434.5 million), Dnipropetrovsk region (UAH 428 million), and Lviv region (UAH 408.6 million).
The tax applies to individuals owning residential properties exceeding specific square meters: apartments over 60 sqm, houses larger than 120 sqm, and shared ownership units above 180 sqm.
Notably, Ukrainians are paying real estate taxes for the 2024 year in 2025. Meanwhile, personal income tax contributions reached UAH 186.4 billion during this period.
