n April 1, the University of New Orleans will host the Dr. Ivan Miestchovich Economic Outlook & Real Estate Forecast Seminar. The event, organized by the UNO Institute for Economic Development & Real Estate Research, brings together experts to discuss the economic and real estate landscape in New Orleans.
The seminar will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Senator Ted Hickey Ballroom on campus. Tickets are $60, which includes admission and an electronic copy of the annual New Orleans & Northshore Real Estate Market Analysis. Registration is available online.
"This event provides a critical look at the region's economic and real estate trends," said Ali Bustamante, Professor of Practice in Economics and Finance. "With rapid transformation underway due to industrial investments, workforce development, and housing market shifts, this seminar helps professionals stay ahead of emerging trends."
The agenda includes four panel discussions:
* 9:10-10 a.m.: "New Orleans Metro Economy & Workforce" with Adrienne Slack (Federal Reserve Bank) and Josh Fleig (Louisiana Economic Development)
* 10:05-10:55 a.m.: "New Orleans Metro Housing Market" with Craig Mirambell (Mirambell Realty), Larry Schedler (Larry G. Schedler & Associates), and Marcus Eagan (Eagan Insurance)
* 11:15 a.m.-Noon: "New Orleans Metro Commercial Real Estate & Industry Development" with Matthew Mancheski (T. Parker Host), Tim Johnson (TJC Group), and Zachary Kupperman (Kupperman Companies)
* 12:05-1 p.m.: "Meeting the Real Estate Demands of Louisiana's Energy Sector" with Leo Arnett (GNO, Inc.) and Greg Upton (LSU Center for Energy Studies)
