Vineyard Land Sale Includes Sewer Plant Site

Cost of property for Finley Lake wastewater treatment plant revealed through county real estate sales analysis.

he town of Mina has purchased Findley Lake Landscape Supply for $427,500 to serve as the site for a future wastewater treatment plant. The facility will help address high phosphorus levels in Findley Lake, which have been a concern for several years. The project is funded by $36 million in grant funds from both state and federal governments, ensuring that no taxpayer dollars will be used for construction.

    In other real estate news, R. Chadwick Land Holdings, LLC purchased eight parcels of land on Hardenburg Road, Prospect Road, Watson Avenue, and Academy Street for $602,400. The properties are labeled as vineyards/field crop land and total around 112 acres.

    Two business buildings were sold in the southern end of Chautauqua County. Strate Welding Supply Co. Inc. sold a building on Clifton Avenue in Jamestown to JWK Real Estate, LLC for $145,000, while The Don Gage Family Trust sold a warehouse on Fluvanna Avenue Extension in Ellicott to Res Fluvanna, LLC of Falconer for $201,000.

    Other notable sales include:

    * 3490 Main St., North Harmony was sold for $375,000.

    * 6743 Finley Road, Portland was sold for $353,488.

    * 10 E. Elmwood Ave., Falconer was sold for $266,300.

    * Luis Aparicio and Luis Felipe Aparicio sold a condominium in French Creek to Waite Hill Bluff, LLC of Willoughby Hills, Ohio for $511,500.

    There were 88 transactions in Chautauqua County from March 3-7, with five sales totaling over $250,000.
