Virtual Voiceovers: AI-Generated Audio for Real Estate Listings

Property details include layout, standout features, renovation potential and local amenities.

A
UK-based real estate agency, Ashton Stripp, is now sending personalized audio summaries to prospective homebuyers after property viewings. The tool, called HouseCast, uses artificial intelligence (AI) to create three-to-four minute recordings that highlight a property's features, renovation potential, and local amenities.

The AI-powered system was developed by Paul Hurley of TrainrAI, a technology consultancy based in Sussex. It compiles internal notes, listing descriptions, and public data into natural-sounding voice recordings, making it feel more human. According to Hurley, HouseCast is not just a concept but a working tool that's already helping people make faster and more confident buying decisions.

Early trials of the tool showed positive feedback from homebuyers who reported that the podcasts helped them recall key details after viewing multiple homes in a day. The agency plans to expand its use and is reportedly working on a U.S. release, with Hurley stating that HouseCast is "absolutely U.S-ready" and has already been adapted for American buyers.

"We wanted to give people something that brings the viewing back to life," said Paul Stripp, founder of Ashton Stripp. "It's a gentle reminder of what they've just experienced, helping them put it all in context." The agency believes that HouseCast can help nudge potential buyers closer to making a decision after a viewing.
