ashington D.C. saw a surge in high-end real estate deals towards the end of 2024, with some attributing it to the "Trump bump" as President Trump's wealthy administration moved into town. Here are the top three DMV home sales of 2024:
At number three is a Georgetown mansion sold for $10.5 million to Sen. David McCormick (R-PA). The eight-bedroom, eight-bath estate boasts 11,158 square feet, an elevator, wine storage, and five fireplaces.
Coming in at number two is another Georgetown property that changed hands for $11.8 million to Cox Society LLC. This six-bedroom, seven-bath home features 9,132 square feet of living space, including an exercise room, four fireplaces, and front and rear gardens.
The top spot goes to a Foxhall estate sold for a record-breaking $25 million to Commerce secretary Howard Lutnick. The five-bedroom, eight-bath mansion spans 16,250 square feet and includes a range of luxurious features such as a gated entrance, heated floors, a cinema, spa, fitness area, two-story indoor sports court, golf simulator, heated pool, and putting green.
