imon Property Group is developing a 50,000-square-foot office building at The Shops at Clearfork in Fort Worth, Texas. This project aims to enhance the upscale shopping center's status as a mixed-use destination. The office space will be situated within the 7,000-acre Edwards Ranch, co-owned by Simon Property and Cassco Development Co.
According to David Simon, CEO of the Indianapolis-based REIT, Wells Fargo & Co. is expected to occupy most of the office space, although no official confirmation has been made. This development aligns with Simon Property's recent focus on mixed-use projects combining retail, office, and residential spaces.
The Shops at Clearfork is undergoing significant expansion, thanks in part to a $400 million incentives package approved by the Fort Worth City Council last year. The agreement includes adding 300,000 square feet of commercial space, an auto showroom, and 350 residential units over two phases, with completion slated for 2026 and 2028.
This office project marks another step in Simon Property's strategy to evolve its development approach in North Texas, where it already has a substantial presence through shopping centers like North East Mall, University Park Village, and Grapevine Mills.
