Windsor Terrace resident disputes Leifer construction project's impact on neighborhood stables

Abraham Leifer's Windsor Terrace development is causing stress for Prospect Park Stable horses.

A
braham Leifer's luxury development at 57 Caton Place in Windsor Terrace is causing distress to horses at the adjacent Prospect Park Stable due to construction noise. The stable owner, John Quadrozzi Jr., has filed multiple lawsuits against Leifer, alleging property damage and disruption from the six-year construction project. Quadrozzi claims workers have dropped tools and materials on his facility's roof, damaging skylights, and that he can't make planned upgrades.

Leifer acquired the site in 2014 for $7.2 million and proposed a 130,000-square-foot development with ground-floor retail space and underground parking. However, the project has faced financial challenges, including a 2023 lawsuit from lender Parkview Financial over allegedly defaulted mortgages totaling $66 million. Leifer claims there is "no more conflict" with Quadrozzi and expects to wrap construction in a couple of months.
