O
n this week's RealTrending podcast, host Tracey Velt talks with Danielle Wilkie, co-founder of The Helm, about emerging trends in real estate, female representation in coaching, and the impact of artificial intelligence.
Wilkie shares her career path before launching The Helm, which aimed to address a gap between the number of women in real estate and those recognized as coaches. "We found that despite women making up over two-thirds of agents, less than a third are nationally recognized coaches," she explains.
As for what sets female coaches apart from their male counterparts, Wilkie believes it's about offering a different dynamic and approach. She notes the importance of niche coaching, where experts focus on specific areas rather than trying to be all-knowing.
Wilkie also predicts a rise in the creator economy within real estate, with agents becoming coaches and needing to differentiate themselves through quality content and experiences. "Content means nothing anymore," she says. "What matters is the experience you bring to that content."
Regarding artificial intelligence, Wilkie sees its impact on coaching and real estate as being about optimizing back-office processes first, which can save businesses money by eliminating inefficiencies. She believes this will eventually translate to a more personalized front-end experience.
The conversation concludes with Wilkie discussing conscious leadership, a concept she found life-changing for both her professional and personal growth.
