Wyoming authorities detain suspect linked to Tampa warrant

Tampa's Patrick Carroll Wanted on Aggravated Stalking Charge After Hillsborough County Warrant Issued.

P
atrick Carroll, a multifamily syndicator from Tampa, has been wanted by authorities after Hillsborough County issued an arrest warrant for aggravated stalking. He was arrested on Saturday in Lincoln County, Wyoming, according to online booking records. The warrant is the latest incident involving Carroll, who faced charges in Los Angeles this summer for allegedly evading police and carrying a loaded firearm.

Carroll also faces a criminal contempt charge related to a 2019 divorce settlement agreement with his ex-wife, Lindsey Truex. His attorney declined to comment on the matter. Last year, Carroll sold his firm to RMR Group for $80 million and still owns an interest in multifamily properties managed by Atlanta-based Carroll Organization.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis reassigned prosecution of Carroll's case due to a past association with the former state attorney and sheriff of Hillsborough County. In July, Carroll led Los Angeles police on a pursuit before being apprehended after running down an embankment. He pleaded not guilty in the case, which is still pending.

Carroll has been involved in several high-profile incidents since last year, including an altercation with a restaurant manager in April and a confrontation with Miami Beach Police in March over his use of firearms. He has also spoken publicly about struggling with mental health issues, including post-traumatic stress disorder, and has shared photos and videos of his treatment on social media.

Wyoming authorities apprehend suspect connected to outstanding Tampa arrest warrant.
