The Garner Hotel Frankfurt – Main Station at Baseler Straße 56 in Frankfurt am Main has successfully commenced operations. This project is the 45th Garner Hotel to open since the cooperation agreement between NOVUM Hospitality and IHG Hotels & Resorts was signed in April 2024. The 84-room property underwent extensive rebranding, revitalisation and modernisation measures to meet the Garner brand's requirements. The opening underscores the speed of implementation with which NOVUM Hospitality and IHG Hotels & Resorts are developing their hotel portfolio.

David Etmenan, Chief Executive Officer & Owner of NOVUM Hospitality, highlighted that the opening of 45 Garner Hotels since April 2024 represents an extraordinary achievement. He emphasised that behind this number lie many projects, decisions, and the dedication of employees who successfully implemented the transformation of the properties. The Garner Hotel Frankfurt – Main Station is an example of the quality and speed of implementation. He thanked Schwarzbart Lemler GmbH & Co. KG as the long-standing project owner. The property has been in the portfolio since 2016 and was previously operated as Hotel Continental Frankfurt. Samira Etmenan, also Chief Executive Officer at NOVUM Hospitality, added that the number 45 symbolises the collaboration of the teams with IHG and project partners, particularly in rebranding under time pressure, which requires precise coordination and short decision-making paths.

Strategic Investments and Revitalisation

As part of the Garner conversions, NOVUM Hospitality has invested approximately 30 million EUR in rebranding, modernisation, and revitalisation measures. Implementation was carried out in phases, with the scope and prioritisation of measures individually determined based on the condition of the existing property. The Quality Property Improvement Plans (QPIPs) served as the basis for sustainable further development and adaptation to brand requirements. For the Garner Hotel Frankfurt – Main Station, a total of approximately 5.1 million EUR was invested by the owner and operator. Isak Schwarzbart, Managing Director of Schwarzbart-Lemler GmbH & Co KG, stated that the hotel has been an important part of their portfolio for years and is now being guided into the next phase of development through modernisation and positioning under the international Garner brand. He highlighted the trusting cooperation with NOVUM Hospitality, which is familiar with the property and its location.

The Garner Hotel Frankfurt – Main Station is located at Baseler Straße 56, in the immediate vicinity of Frankfurt's main railway station. This central location provides quick access to public local and long-distance transport, as well as to Frankfurt's banking district, the exhibition centre, and sights. With its 84 rooms, the hotel caters to business travellers as well as national and international city tourists.

The Garner brand, as part of the international Garner portfolio, stands for uncomplicated stays that focus on essential aspects such as comfortable sleep and a pleasant environment. The joint strategy of NOVUM Hospitality and IHG Hotels & Resorts focuses on transforming existing properties through comprehensive modernisation, revitalisation, and repositioning in line with brand requirements. In addition to Germany, locations in Austria and the Netherlands are also part of this dynamic portfolio. Furthermore, three additional new-build projects for the brand have been secured in Hamburg.
