Cushman & Wakefield has announced the appointment of Zijad Gibic as Head of Office Agency Frankfurt. Mr Gibic will assume his new position on 1 February 2027 and will lead the office letting team of the internationally active real estate consultancy in Frankfurt am Main. This personnel decision underscores the company's strategic focus on the German office market, particularly in a central financial centre such as Frankfurt.
The role of Head of Office Agency Frankfurt is currently also held by Hanjo Theiss, who additionally serves as Head of Office Agency & Office Sector Germany. Mr Gibic will report directly to Mr Theiss. This structure allows for clear hierarchy and the focusing of respective responsibilities on their core tasks.
Strategic Importance of the Personnel Decision
Mario Herbst, Head of Leasing and Tenant Representation Germany at Cushman & Wakefield, commented on the appointment, emphasising that with Zijad Gibic, a proven real estate expert would be gained for the Frankfurt office. He highlighted that this appointment represents the consistent continuation of Cushman & Wakefield's growth trajectory and underlines the importance of the office letting market in the German financial metropolis.
Furthermore, Mario Herbst explained that as a result of Zijad Gibic's assumption of office, Hanjo Theiss will be able to dedicate himself even more intensively to looking after Cushman & Wakefield's nationwide office user clients from February 2027. This enables a stronger focus on client relationships and a deepening of services at a national level.
Zijad Gibic joins Cushman & Wakefield from Colliers, where he had been Head of Office Letting Frankfurt since mid-2024. His professional career also includes a previous stint at Cushman & Wakefield itself, where he was a Partner Office Agency from early 2023 to May 2024. This experience within the company and in the Frankfurt market qualifies him for the new role.
