Dr. Jan Peter Annecke, who has held global responsibility for Helaba Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen's Real Estate Finance division since 2020, will leave the financial institution at the end of the year at his own request. This decision is based on his desire to pursue a new professional challenge.
Helaba announced that Dr. Annecke will remain available to the bank until the end of the year for an orderly handover of his duties. The Helaba Board of Management will make a decision regarding the succession in the leadership of the Real Estate Finance division in the short term and will communicate it.
Professional Career and Influence
Dr. Jan Peter Annecke looks back on a solid career in the real estate finance sector. Prior to his work at Helaba, he held leadership positions at renowned credit institutions. His previous professional stations include Bayerische Hypo- und Vereinsbank AG, Hypo Real Estate Bank, which now operates as Deutsche Pfandbriefbank, and Münchener Hypothekenbank eG.
In 2019, Dr. Annecke moved to Helaba, where he initially took over the management of the national real estate lending business. One year later, in 2020, he was entrusted with global responsibility for the entire Real Estate Finance division, a position he held until his departure. In this role, he was instrumental in the strategic direction and development of the business segment.
Recognition of Achievements
Christian Schmid, a member of Helaba's Board of Management, expressed appreciation for Dr. Annecke's achievements. He emphasised that Dr. Annecke had significantly shaped and successfully developed the Real Estate Finance division in a challenging market environment. The Board of Management acknowledged the very good and trusting cooperation and respected his decision. Dr. Annecke was extended best wishes for his professional and personal future.
The personnel change in this key position will influence Helaba's internal structure and potentially its future strategy in the real estate financing segment. The upcoming decision on the succession will therefore be of relevance to the market.
