evolutiq GmbH, together with Logicenters by Urban Partners, is progressing the development of a new logistics and industrial property in Blankenfelde-Mahlow, Brandenburg. Planning permission has now been granted for the project in the Dahlewitz district. The planned revitalisation of an industrial site south of Berlin has thus reached a key milestone on the way to physical delivery.

The brownfield scheme covers a commercial plot of around 20,500 square metres that was previously partially unused. A modern building with a gross floor area of around 12,500 square metres is to be built on the site. The architectural concept is designed for flexibility: the space is suitable for occupation by a single company as well as for division under a multi-user approach.

Infrastructural connectivity and sustainability standards

The location south of Berlin benefits from direct access to the A10 federal motorway and the B96 federal road. In addition, Berlin Brandenburg Airport is within close reach. These infrastructural conditions make the location particularly well suited for commercial occupiers with both regional and nationwide logistics requirements.

A defined sustainability concept is central to the project development, targeting certification under the DGNB Gold standard of the 2023 system. By repurposing an already sealed brownfield site, existing infrastructure connections remain in use and additional land take is constrained. The planned technical and ecological measures include:

  • —Deployment of air-to-air heat pumps for heating supply
  • —Installation of a photovoltaic system with a planned capacity of around 1,000 kWp
  • —Partial greening of roof and facade areas

Delivery timetable up to the end of 2027

Christoph Menden, Senior Development Manager at evolutiq, emphasised on the occasion of the approval that planning was complete and that the team looked forward to starting work shortly. The granting of planning permission was the outcome of focused cooperation between all parties involved and formed a sound foundation for the forthcoming development stages.

The start of the required demolition work on the site is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027. Following the completion of site clearance and subsequent new construction, completion of the logistics and industrial facility is scheduled for the end of 2027.
