As part of the new establishment of Qualitypool Versicherungsmakler Service GmbH, Michael Weltin and Thomas Bürgelin have been appointed as authorised signatories. This measure serves to strengthen operational management and consolidate the company structure following the merger of the former entities, Qualitypool Versicherung and AMEXPool AG.
Michael Weltin, who already held power of attorney at the acquired AMEXPool AG, continues his function in the newly structured company. Thomas Bürgelin, also formerly with AMEXPool, has newly received power of attorney. Andrea Föllmer, Managing Director of Qualitypool Versicherungsmakler Service GmbH, stated that with these executives, the operational team has comprehensive support available. She also referred to the unification of the business units within Qualitypool Versicherungsmakler Service GmbH in November of the previous year, followed by the merger of the teams and the finalisation of the company structure.
Michael Weltin has been operationally active since 2005, initially for AMEXPool and since the end of last year for the newly formed Qualitypool Versicherungsmakler Service GmbH. As Lead Link in the composite insurance sector, he brings his many years of expertise in the property and casualty insurance business. He leads a team responsible for professionally sound, line-of-business-specific services and high problem-solving competence.
Thomas Bürgelin has been part of the extended team of AMEXPool and Qualitypool since 2003. Within the company, he assumes the role of Lead Link for the IT and Finance departments. In these areas of responsibility, he uses his knowledge of technology, financial processes, and controlling to drive professional development and the operational implementation of relevant projects.
Ralf Heinrichs, Managing Director of Qualitypool Versicherungsmakler Service GmbH, explained that the integration aimed to bundle the core competencies of both company parts in a future-proof manner, without losing essential experience from AMEXPool. He emphasised that with Michael Weltin's proven expertise and Thomas Bürgelin's cross-divisional experience, a solid operational setup has been achieved. In addition, Sabrina Blust, Lead of the Mobility & Motor Vehicle Team, retains her power of attorney. A stronger focus in the personal insurance sector is achieved by Kerstin Lämmle as an additional Lead. The professional leadership roles are supplemented by Kathleen Globig for HR as well as Data & Documents, and Caroline Scherr for Communication & Marketing.
For contextualisation, it should be noted that Qualitypool restructured its business areas into two specialised companies in November 2025: Qualitypool GmbH is responsible for the financial brokerage pool, while Qualitypool Versicherungsmakler Service GmbH manages the insurance brokerage pool. The latter consists of the original units Qualitypool Versicherung and AMEXPool AG, which was fully acquired in 2022. AMEXPool's coverage concepts will be continued and expanded under the AMEX product brand. This division allows the insurance brokerage pool to concentrate on its specific area of expertise and thus operate in a more market-oriented and innovation-driven manner.
