Realyze Ventures, a leading venture capital platform for the transformation of the construction, real estate and energy sectors, has successfully completed another closing. As a result, the company was able to expand its investor base to include additional industrial partners and family offices.
To date, more than 30 investors, including family offices with significant real estate portfolios as well as players from the construction industry, property management and the energy sector, have invested in the fund. WISAG and The Bau Ventures, two further renowned investors and industrial partners, have recently been secured. This expansion serves to strengthen Realyze Ventures' strategic network.
Strategic Partnerships and Added Value
The new partners, together with the existing investors, contribute to strengthening Realyze Ventures' position along key value creation stages in the construction and real estate industry. The Bau Ventures, a Drees & Sommer company, brings expertise in consulting, project management, infrastructure and strategic construction and real estate development. WISAG primarily complements the network in the areas of technical and infrastructural services for properties and land.
- —Facility management
- —Building services engineering
- —Building cleaning
- —Security & services
This approach sharpens Realyze Ventures' platform character: in addition to capital, start-ups also gain direct access to relevant application contexts, practical feedback and potential customers from the industry. This accelerates the market validation and scaling of business models and forms the basis for sustainable value creation and attractive returns for investors.
Tim Fischer, General Partner at Realyze Ventures, commented on the development by stating that the new partners strengthen the close connection between capital, technology and operational industry reality that characterises Realyze Ventures. He emphasised that this proximity to the market represents a decisive return driver in the early-stage segment.
Market Context and Investment Focus
The network expansion comes at a time of significant structural changes in the construction, real estate and energy sectors. Aspects such as decarbonisation, digitalisation, energy efficiency, the shortage of skilled workers, the need for productivity increases and rising regulatory and economic requirements are increasing the demand for scalable technological solutions. This creates a defined investment window for capital providers in the early-stage segment.
Steffen Szeidl, CEO of Drees & Sommer, stated that, together with the Realyze Ventures ecosystem, they want to help ensure that promising technologies are not only financed but also permanently established in the industry. Martin Riebschläger, Managing Director of WISAG Facility Service Holding SE, added that they are looking for innovative technologies that make building operations more efficient and offer customers added value. Realyze Ventures supports them in identifying these solutions before they become an industry standard.
