According to analyses by the Düsseldorf Expert Committee, the real estate market in Düsseldorf recorded a significant increase in monetary turnover in the first half of 2026. Looking exclusively at asset deals, this value increased by 24 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching approximately EUR 1.8 billion. This development follows an already strong year in 2025, when the land market (asset/share deals) showed an increase of 21 percent compared to 2024, at approximately EUR 4.6 billion.
Aengevelt Research forecasts a turnover of approximately EUR 5 billion for asset and share deals for the full year 2026. With this figure, the ten-year average of EUR 5.3 billion per year is once again within reach. The available data confirm the continued attractiveness of Düsseldorf as a real estate location. It continues to offer considerable opportunities for users, landlords, investors, and project developers alike.
Expanding expertise in the investment sector
To optimise client advisory services in the context of this market dynamic, Aengevelt is expanding its local real estate expertise. The Investment & Development team in Düsseldorf, which has long been led by Oliver Lederer, is being reinforced by two qualified specialists. Christian Rosen and Julian Schneiders will now strengthen the advisory team.
Christian Rosen, a qualified economic geographer and MRICS certified, takes on the position of Senior Consultant. His responsibilities include all asset classes within the investment segment. Mr. Rosen brings approximately 25 years of experience as a transaction expert with national and international property service providers and possesses detailed knowledge of the German real estate market.
Julian Schneiders joins the Investment & Development team as a Consultant. His main focus is on the residential investment segment. Mr. Schneiders completed a degree in real estate economics with a Bachelor of Arts and previously gained professional experience, including with a project developer operating nationwide. These qualifications form a solid foundation for his new role.
Strategic personnel decision
Oliver Lederer stated that the Düsseldorf real estate market offers attractive market opportunities for clients in all areas, with Aengevelt ensuring competent support. He highlighted that the new colleagues, with their experience in the property industry, represent a significant reinforcement, and he looks forward to close collaboration and shared successes.
Mark Aengevelt, managing partner, added that constructive and competent client support is always essential, but especially so in challenging times of new beginnings, to identify and realise opportunities. For this reason, securing Christian Rosen and Julian Schneiders as proven property experts is of great importance for Düsseldorf.
