On Al Marjan Island in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, Janu Al Marjan Island is taking shape as a new hotel and residential development by Janu, a brand belonging to the Aman Group. The coastal site is situated approximately 70 kilometres from Dubai and is located directly adjacent to Wynn Al Marjan Island, the region's first integrated resort. The state development company Marjan and Wynn Resorts are responsible for the development. The architectural design was produced by the SCDA Architects practice.
The construction project combines a 132-room hotel with a collection of 73 private branded residences. The range of units begins with one-bedroom apartments offering 197 square metres of space and extends to a five-bedroom penthouse spanning 1,761 square metres at the top of the building. The architectural concept incorporates floor-to-ceiling windows, generous terraces, and private swimming pools, whilst selected units feature double-height living areas.
Marina villas and specific infrastructure
The building complex is complemented by five detached Marina Villas on the island's eastern coast, facing east towards the Arabian Gulf. Prospective residents will have access to a separate entrance area with its own lobby, an exclusive lounge, and a private fitness centre. In addition, there is direct access to a 265-metre private beach section and berths in the adjacent Wynn Marina, which is designed to accommodate superyachts with an overall length of up to 85 metres.
- —Janu Spa & Wellness Centre covering an area of 2,496 square metres, featuring cryotherapy and a 30-metre pool
- —Sports facilities with a dedicated padel court and fitness areas
- —Six dining and entertainment concepts, including the Hu Jing restaurant and a beach club
International expansion course of the Aman subsidiary
The groundbreaking in July 2026 marked the official start of construction for the project. With this scheme, the participating partners intend to further establish Ras Al Khaimah as a location for upscale hospitality and sophisticated residential concepts. For the Janu brand, the project marks the second announced residential scheme in the United Arab Emirates, following the introduction of Janu Residences in Dubai at the start of the year.
The concept follows the opening of Janu Tokyo, which received international industry accolades such as two Michelin Keys shortly after commencing operations. Alongside current construction projects in the Emirates, the company is currently preparing further market entries in the Turks and Caicos Islands, Montenegro, and Saudi Arabia.
