The successful sale of a portfolio of eleven onshore wind farm projects in Germany has been completed. The transaction encompasses installations with a cumulative capacity of approximately 350 MW. Gleiss Lutz acted as an advisor to Omnes Capital, a leading European infrastructure investor, and its long-standing partner ENOVA Power GmbH. The acquirer of the portfolio is Sosteneo SGR S.p.A., a company affiliated with Generali Investments.
This conclusion marks a significant milestone for the platforms jointly established by Omnes and ENOVA since 2020. These platforms are dedicated to repowering and acquiring further onshore wind installations in Germany. Within the framework of this cooperation, around 70 wind farms have been acquired to date, underscoring the strategic orientation of the parties involved in the renewable energy sector.
Strategic Partnership and Future Development
The wind energy installations sold to Sosteneo will operate in future under the name ENOVA Generation. This signals a continuation of the proven collaboration and expertise. ENOVA will retain a minority stake in these projects, ensuring a deep involvement in operational business. Furthermore, ENOVA will continue to manage the installations to guarantee operational continuity and create the conditions for the platform's future growth.
The continued management by ENOVA highlights the relevance of experience and specialised management in the long-term value preservation and performance optimisation of wind energy installations. The expertise in repowering and project development that Omnes, on behalf of its Capenergie 4 and Capenergie 5 funds, and ENOVA have built up over years forms the foundation for the successful realisation and further development of such infrastructure projects. The transaction is based on a clear strategy aimed at the sustainable generation of energy and the establishment of long-term value in the renewable energy market.
