Wellness and massage service provider Snowflake Spa is expanding its presence in New York's Hell’s Kitchen neighbourhood. The company has signed a long-term, ten-year lease for retail space at 619 Ninth Avenue. Commercial brokerage Lee & Associates NYC officially announced the conclusion of the lease agreement for the mixed-use building.
The leased unit covers a total of approximately 2,200 sq ft, spanning the ground floor and the basement of the building. Located in close proximity to the intersection of Ninth Avenue and West 44th Street, the premises were previously occupied by a branch of the pharmacy chain Walgreens. The asking rent for the property was not publicly disclosed by the parties involved.
Expansion in the New York retail market
For Snowflake Spa, the property at 619 Ninth Avenue represents its third address in Hell’s Kitchen. The business already operates branches at 324 West 49th Street and 606 10th Avenue. According to surveys by CBRE, the New York retail property market recorded an average asking rent of $707 per square foot in the third quarter of 2026.
On the landlord side, owner Howard Brachfeld was advised by Kyle Fink and James Famularo of Meridian Retail Leasing. Todd Korren and Milly Cheung of Lee & Associates NYC represented the tenant. Korren stated that Snowflake Spa has built a solid client base in Manhattan and that the new location allows the operator to purposefully strengthen its market footprint in Hell’s Kitchen.
