Danish furniture company SOFACOMPANY has leased new retail space in Nuremberg city centre. The property is a retail unit comprising around 470 square metres at the address Josephsplatz 26–28.
The transaction was brokered by Nadine Brand, Senior Consultant Retail Lettings at the Munich office of consultancy firm Lührmann. She handled the entire letting process for the property in Nuremberg city centre.
Central location in Nuremberg's Old Town
The leased shop unit is situated in Nuremberg's Old Town within an established retail environment. The commercial premises are located in the immediate vicinity of the Weißer Turm, benefiting from their position in one of the city's traditional shopping hubs.
Prior to the furniture company moving in, the roughly 470-square-metre retail unit was occupied by German clothing brand Wellensteyn. Following the new lease, the location on Josephsplatz is undergoing a sector-specific repositioning.
Profile of the new tenant
SOFACOMPANY was founded in Denmark in 2012. The company designs its furniture in-house, combining modern design with craftsmanship and an attractive price-to-performance ratio. In addition to sofas, the brand's product range includes other furnishings for living areas.
On the occasion of the completion, Nadine Brand from Lührmann stated that Nuremberg was gaining a modern interior design concept with SOFACOMPANY, bringing together Scandinavian design and contemporary living ideas. She also expressed her satisfaction with having successfully assisted the letting process.
