UrbView is the overall winner of the PropTech Germany Award 2026. The company convinced a 51-member expert jury with a platform that integrates safety analyses, crime data, and urban planning factors. The solution aims to measurably assess the quality of stay at locations. The award ceremony took place on Wednesday evening as part of the RE:Thought Leader Summit in Frankfurt am Main.
The UrbView solution analyses over 15 factors of the urban environment. These include lighting situations, existing sightlines, and specific usage patterns. Concrete recommendations for the design of locations and districts are derived from these analyses. These results can be integrated into projects at early planning stages. The technology offers property developers, investors, and portfolio holders an additional data-driven basis for evaluating and further developing districts.
Eleven category winners awarded
The PropTech Germany Award, which was presented for the sixth time in 2026, honoured eleven other companies as winners in their respective categories in addition to the overall winner. These solutions encompass the entire building lifecycle. The REAL Pitches, which took place on 10 and 11 June at the Real Estate Arena in Hannover, preceded the award ceremony. Here, 214 PropTechs presented their solutions in 183 live pitches. The companies were evaluated by a 51-member expert jury from the fields of planning, construction, real estate, finance, and venture capital, based on eleven defined criteria. During the overall winner selection at the RE:Thought Leader Summit, a public vote was also taken into account.

Orla Nolan, Managing Partner and COO of blackprint, commented on the awards. She emphasised that PropTechs represent a significant part of the research and development work in the industry. This year's winners illustrated that it is no longer solely about new technologies, but about concrete solutions for tasks in planning, construction, and operation. Crucially, the marketability of a solution, its integration into existing processes, and its scalability are decisive. This connection was evident in the awarded companies.
blackprint has organised the PropTech Germany Award since 2021. The innovation show is linked to the REAL Pitches, where participating companies present their solutions to the expert jury and an industry audience. The pitches are divided into eleven categories along the building lifecycle. blackprint also promotes networking between participating companies and established market players, together with the Central Real Estate Committee (ZIA) and the ZIA PropTech Platform. The main sponsor of the PropTech Germany Award 2026 is BLACKLAKE Digital.
Dr. Alexander Hellmuth, Managing Partner of BLACKLAKE Digital, stated that his company aims to actively drive the industry's innovative capacity. He explained that the market is becoming more digital, faster, and more competitive. Solutions must prove themselves in the market, as 'golden cages' and isolated standalone solutions are increasingly struggling. It is all the more important to recognise the entrepreneurial spirit of innovative companies, which BLACKLAKE Digital, as patron of the awards, intends to continue doing. Further partners and patrons include AroundTown, Crem Solutions, Aral Pulse, Die Möglichmacher, Nemetschek Group, OFB, and Würth, as well as BNP Paribas and Builtech. The ZIA supports the format as a networking partner.
