Alte Oper Frankfurt, a pivotal cultural and event venue in Germany, is continuing its collaboration with Vebego Facility Services. The existing service contract has been extended until 1 June 2026. This continuity means that Vebego has been responsible for the operational services at Alte Oper for nearly two decades.
The scope of services under the contract encompasses a broad spectrum of facility services. These include continuous maintenance and glass cleaning, special cleaning and preparation services for events, regular deep cleaning, and professional carpet care. Furthermore, Vebego also provides winter services to ensure the smooth operation and safety of the venue.
Significance of the collaboration
Alte Oper Frankfurt welcomes approximately half a million guests annually, who attend more than 460 events. The range extends from international concerts – in both classical and jazz genres – to conferences and large social events. To ensure the smooth running of these diverse events, the Vebego team works closely with Alte Oper's management and other on-site service partners. Alexander Müller, Regional Head at Vebego, emphasised the successful long-term collaboration and the renewed trust shown by the client. He noted that the building represents a landmark of the Rhine-Main region and that the individual requirements of each event make the work particularly demanding.
Vebego employees ensure a high standard of quality across a total area of approximately 32,000 square metres. This includes the continuous upkeep of the premises. According to Alexander Müller, the goal is to consistently meet Alte Oper's high demands. This is achieved through coordinated cleaning processes, the implementation of daytime cleaning concepts, and intensive coordination with the client.
Future-oriented optimisation
In the course of further contract development and to ensure the future viability of its services, Vebego is currently exploring the integration of cleaning robots. This measure aims at further process optimisation and adaptation to modern technological standards in facility management.
