Youtilly is expanding its offering for the housing industry. The company is supplementing its solutions for operational property management with digital tree management and is introducing the new Treetilly tool in this context. This application is specifically tailored to the requirements of housing companies and serves the structured, digital, and legally compliant management of tree populations. With this expansion, Youtilly addresses an area that in practice is often characterised by complexity, labour intensity, and a high volume of documentation.
The management of trees in housing portfolios represents an organisationally demanding task for many companies, whether in relation to public safety obligations, regular inspections, or the coordination of external service providers. Treetilly, conceived as an extension of the existing Youtilly platform, aims to optimise these processes. The application digitises central processes such as tree inspection, tree care, tendering, and documentation, thereby increasing transparency, efficiency, and traceability within property management.
The development of Treetilly took place in cooperation with experienced tree experts as well as representatives of housing companies and service providers in the sector. In contrast to many traditional tree registers or isolated solutions that function in isolation but are often only partially integrable into existing operational processes, Treetilly pursues a more process-oriented approach. This not only enables the digital recording and documentation of tree data but also the direct tendering and awarding of services in the areas of tree inventory, inspection, and care to qualified service providers.
Lena Freiwald, Managing Director of Youtilly GmbH, stated that Treetilly represents a targeted further development of Youtilly, addressing a topic that is relevant for many housing companies in their daily operations but is often inadequately represented digitally. She emphasised the creation of a solution that encompasses the technical requirements of tree management while also being integrable into the operational processes of the housing industry.
- —Mobile digital tree recording on site
- —Unique tree ID for clear assignment
- —Property-related linking with buildings and economic units
- —Display of the tree population in interactive maps
The core functions of Treetilly include mobile digital tree recording directly on site and a unique tree ID for clear assignment. The application also offers the property-related linking of trees with buildings and economic units, as well as the display of the tree population in interactive maps. Furthermore, damage patterns on the trunk, crown, roots, and in the tree's surroundings can be systematically recorded and documented. A particular advantage lies in the continuous and legally compliant documentation according to the FLL Tree Inspection Guideline. Digital proof of performance and inspection reports are available in real time and are transmitted directly to the owners. Billing processes are also simplified, including through the use of the ZUGFeRD e-invoice standard and the provision of relevant documentation for service charge statements.
Treetilly also facilitates the tendering and awarding of services. Housing companies can search for and commission qualified service providers for tree inventory, tree inspection, and care services throughout Germany. This strengthens operational control for housing companies and improves access to specialised expert firms. Sven Schmidt, Real Estate Manager at LEG Wohnen NRW GmbH, highlighted that digitisation is a central lever for LEG to make processes in the housing industry fit for the future. He underscored the importance of addressing specialised topics such as tree management digitally, structurally, and with a future-oriented approach.
With Treetilly, Youtilly demonstrates how digital solutions in the housing industry can solve concrete everyday problems by creating clear processes, improved data, and increased transparency for owners, service providers, and management. This corresponds with LEG's aspiration to promote smart and affordable solutions for the management and further development of residential properties.
The platform builds on Youtilly's previous developments. According to the company, since its launch, approximately 1.4 million prices have been recorded in benchmarking, 13 million digital proofs of performance documented, 6,800 orders brokered, and 2,100 tenders carried out. Currently, 6,000 service providers are registered on the platform, 300,000 residential units are managed, and a billed order volume of EUR 189 million has been recorded. These figures underscore the growing importance of digital solutions for operational processes in the housing industry.
