Adam Driver, known for films such as “Star Wars” and “Marriage Story”, has sold his loft in Brooklyn Heights, New York, after offering the combined residence for just under $5 million in June. The actor had pieced together the property over several years, acquiring one unit in 2014 and an adjacent residence in 2017 for a total of $4.24 million, uniting them into a single home spanning 2,681 square feet. The property went under contract just weeks after its market debut, and the sale officially closed on 21st August for an undisclosed price.

The loft, which was last listed at $5 million, is located in Brooklyn Heights, New York. It boasts a living area of 2,681 square feet, three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. The property is situated within a converted condominium that originally housed a confectionery factory built in 1892, named “Peaks Mason Mints”. Driver commissioned Elizabeth Roberts Architects to transform his two adjacent units into a cohesive loft residence, thereby maintaining the building's industrial history.

Custom glass and steel partitions divide areas of the open interior, while teak panelling, bespoke carpentry and layered natural materials add warmer accents to the industrial architecture. The boutique condominium also offers residents a fitness centre, doorman service, and cold storage rooms. Driver's residence furthermore featured two separate private storage units.

Despite selling the loft, whose design Driver oversaw for years, he remains loyal to the neighbourhood. Shortly before the sale closed, the actor reportedly purchased three units on the sixth floor of The Standish for $11.5 million, an exclusive condominium in Columbia Heights, also located in Brooklyn Heights. This purchase suggests that Driver is not leaving the neighbourhood, but merely exchanging one bespoke Brooklyn residence for another. After more than a decade associated with his former loft, his next project could involve combining the newly acquired units into another, significantly larger home.
