The Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre (ADPIC) and PATRIZIA, a leading real assets investment manager, have agreed a strategic cooperation to intensify infrastructure investments and project developments in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. PATRIZIA brings its extensive expertise in real asset investments to this partnership. The agreement was formalised during the international roadshow of the Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit (ADIS) at EXPO REAL 2026 in Munich.

The signing was carried out by His Excellency Eng. Maysarah Mahmoud Salim Eid, Director General of ADPIC, and Hassan Awada, Senior Executive Officer for the MENA region at PATRIZIA. ADPIC plays a central role in implementing Abu Dhabi's investment programme. The organisation coordinates the planning, management and execution of approximately 500 projects with a total volume exceeding 200 billion Dirham, equivalent to about 56 billion US dollars. This programme encompasses various sectors such as housing, transport, culture, education, social infrastructure, as well as overarching urban infrastructure systems. The overarching goal is to strengthen Abu Dhabi's long-term growth, quality of life, and economic competitiveness.

Goals of the Cooperation and Knowledge Exchange

The partnership supports the main objective of the ADIS International Roadshow, which is to connect Abu Dhabi's infrastructure ecosystem with international partners and intensify cooperation with Germany and Europe. It establishes a framework for knowledge exchange between PATRIZIA and ADPIC and for developing joint concepts on how private capital can contribute to the realisation of infrastructure projects and long-term value creation.

  • —Dialogue on public-private partnership structures
  • —Exchange on international best practices in infrastructure financing and project implementation
  • —Assessment of opportunities for investments and co-investments within the context of Abu Dhabi's investment programme
  • —Joint market analyses, benchmarking and technical studies in infrastructure investments and project implementation

The partners aim to foster increased international participation, knowledge transfer, and access to expertise within Abu Dhabi's entire ecosystem. The Director General of ADPIC, H.E. Eng. Maysarah Mahmoud Salim Eid, emphasised the necessity of partners with international competence, market knowledge, and long-term commitment for the implementation of Abu Dhabi's infrastructure programme. He stated that they would jointly examine with PATRIZIA how this expertise could be utilised to promote private sector involvement, successfully implement projects, and create sustainable value.

Long-term Commitment and Regional Presence

PATRIZIA has been working with institutional investors and partners in Abu Dhabi for 15 years, establishing long-term relationships across the Emirate during this time. By opening an office in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) in early 2025, PATRIZIA has further expanded its local commitment. This permanent presence strengthens collaboration with regional investors and partners and facilitates access to PATRIZIA's global platform for real asset investments.

Asoka Wöhrmann, CEO of PATRIZIA SE, highlighted that Abu Dhabi has established itself as a hub for long-term investments and infrastructure development. He referred to the 15 years of collaboration with clients and partners in the Emirate and stated that the decision for a local office reflects the importance of this relationship. He emphasised that the partnership with ADPIC offers the opportunity to bring in long-standing experience in real assets and further deepen existing relationships in Abu Dhabi. Hassan Awada added that Abu Dhabi is developing into a significant market for infrastructure and real asset investments, based on extensive infrastructure projects and a clear focus on attracting international investments and expertise. The agreement aligns with PATRIZIA's overarching strategy to strengthen its established global platform for real assets through selective international growth in markets where the company has long-standing client relationships and relevant investment expertise.
