AEW, a globally active real estate investment and asset management firm, has announced the appointment of Gwénaël Dupeux as Head of Technology & Transformation Europe. This position has been newly established within the company. Mr. Dupeux, 41 years old, commenced his role on 15 September and will operate from Paris. He will report directly to Vanessa Roux-Collet, CEO Europe at AEW.
In his new role, Gwénaël Dupeux is responsible for AEW's technology strategy, data utilisation, the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the transformation agenda. This includes leading IT, data and process management, and corporate development across Europe. His duties involve close cooperation with AEW's expert teams in Europe to advance the integration and application of data-driven insights and solutions. The objective is to maximise added value for the company's clients.
Experience and Strategic Alignment
Gwénaël Dupeux brings 20 years of expertise in the conception and implementation of innovative organisational strategies within the financial and investment sector. Prior to joining AEW, he worked at BPCE, France's second-largest banking group, which is also the parent company of Natixis Investment Managers, to which AEW is affiliated. Previously, Mr. Dupeux spent ten years at Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking, most recently as Co-Head of the Transformation Management Office. In this role, he was instrumental in leading and accelerating key transformation initiatives for the bank and managed a team of 50 employees.
Vanessa Roux-Collet, CEO Europe at AEW, commented on the appointment. She emphasised that the ongoing evolution of working methods in Europe offers employees greater scope to focus on optimising assets and long-term value creation for investors. She highlighted that AEW would utilise technology, data, and AI even more specifically on its existing transformation path to increase efficiency and implementation capability. These developments are also fundamentally changing how real estate is used and managed.
