Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt has transformed its spa area into an independent world of experience. Operating under the name '4 elements spa by Althoff', the five-star resort has been welcoming guests with a contemporary spatial and design language since early August. The redesign includes a significant expansion of the aquatic, thermal, relaxation, and movement areas, as well as the introduction of new offerings, including Reformer Pilates. The hotel's immediate location on Lake Tegernsee is consistently integrated into the spa experience, strengthening the resort's positioning as a sanctuary for wellness and recreation.

The underlying concept of the '4 elements spa' was developed by Elke Diefenbach-Althoff. It combines the four elements of earth, water, air, and fire with a contemporary understanding of well-being. These elements manifest in the four worlds of experience – water, warmth, relaxation, and movement – as well as in the architecture, materials used, and rituals. The design is characterised by natural materials, hand-picked Italian fabrics, coordinated textures, and selected details. The visual presentation resembles a modern gallery, with an emphasis on a warm atmosphere. Through generous sightlines and proximity to the lake, nature is integrated into the spa, creating a connection between the indoor and outdoor areas.

The aquatic area forms the heart of the spa, encompassing a 28-meter indoor pool, a hot pool, and a heated outdoor pool. Direct access to Lake Tegernsee via a private bathing beach with a sunbathing lawn completes this offering. In the thermal area, a Finnish sauna with experience infusions, a bio-clay sauna, a herbal sauna, and a steam bath are available. The 'Silence Lounge', another spacious relaxation room, and private reclining cabins by the pool ensure peace and retreat.

Movement is given its own newly equipped fitness area with TECHNOGYM equipment in the '4 elements spa by Althoff'. A central element is the newly created 'CORE ROOM' for Reformer Pilates, Pilates, and Yoga. A daily changing activity programme complements individual training with formats such as back and fascia training, Core & Glutes, Stretch & Relax, and Nordic Walking along the lakeside. Additionally, personal training can be booked.

Another focus is on personal treatments in the 'Ritual Rooms', designed for massages, beauty, and holistic treatments. These rooms, starting from 38 square metres, include their own treatment area, a bathroom, and a personal relaxation zone. The offerings range from facial treatments and massages to body rituals, which are tailored to guests' individual needs during consultation sessions. The spa experience is complemented by a 'CONCEPT STORE' with selected beauty and lifestyle products, and 'THE BISTRO', which offers light, balanced, and seasonal dishes.

The unique location of the Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt directly on Lake Tegernsee significantly shapes the character of the spa. The lake acts as a natural space for movement and recreation, utilised through activities such as swimming, Nordic Walking, or strolls. Vincent Ludwig, Managing Director of Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt, stated that the '4 elements spa' directly embraces the hotel's unique location and brings the connection of water, mountains, movement, and tranquility to life. He emphasised the importance of the trust and long-term commitment of the owner, the Jost Hurler Gruppe, as well as the support of the Althoff family and Frank Marrenbach, and the dedication of the employees for the realisation of this vision. Further movement and swimming offerings are planned for the future, aiming to integrate Lake Tegernsee even more strongly as a natural training and experience space.

From autumn 2026, a 'KIDS CLUB' will also be established, offering daily childcare from 10 am to 4 pm to allow parents a relaxed break. This expansion underscores the resort's holistic approach to appeal to various guest groups.
