Real estate company Aroundtown has agreed long-term extensions for two existing leases in the Bonifazius Towers in Mainz. The agreements cover a total floor area of around 1,400 square metres and secure the continued presence of two established tenants in the prominent office complex.
The occupiers include Südwestrundfunk (SWR), which uses around 550 square metres of office space for funk, the joint youth offering of ARD and ZDF. As a result, the public-service broadcasting sector remains firmly established in the site's tenant mix. In addition, the company Luamaya is continuing its commercial presence in the towers and has extended its lease for around 850 square metres.
Functional mix of uses in landmark high-rise complex
The Bonifazius Towers are among the tallest buildings in the state capital and shape the skyline of central Mainz. In addition to the two eponymous office towers, the site comprises four further buildings with diversified uses. Alongside office accommodation, the scheme houses amenities including a library, a fitness centre, retail space and various food and beverage outlets.
The infrastructure is complemented by the ATworld cafe situated in the lobby, designed as a central meeting point for tenants, visitors and business partners. As part of the ATworld co-working and hospitality platform, the facility provides communal space within the property.
Central infrastructure and local amenities at the main railway station
A key characteristic of the Bonifazius Towers is their direct location at Mainz central station. The site offers connections to the regional public transport network and the national rail network. Regular direct services via the S8 S-Bahn line run to Wiesbaden, Frankfurt Airport and Frankfurt am Main. For private transport, the location provides rapid access to the supra-regional road network.
Important city destinations are within walking distance of the complex. These include the Mainz Old Town, Mainz Cathedral, the Gutenberg Museum, the Rhine embankment district and the Staatstheater Mainz.
