ATechX, Aroundtown's innovation and venture platform, has significantly expanded its international partner network. By integrating Apleona and Zacua Ventures, ATechX is strengthening its market position and expertise in real estate innovations. This expansion incorporates a global asset base of over EUR 400 billion, as well as cumulative venture capital funding exceeding EUR 1.5 billion. Since its launch in 2024, ATechX has established itself as a relevant platform for PropTech innovations.
The now expanded partner network operates across Europe, North America, South America, and Asia. It encompasses a diversified real estate portfolio, covering various asset classes including residential, office, hotel, retail, and logistics properties. This structure provides a fundamental basis for the development and implementation of new PropTech solutions, with each new partner contributing specific expertise.
Strategic Partnerships for PropTech Scaling
The Apleona Group, a leading facility management provider in Europe and market leader in Germany, brings extensive operational experience to the network. The company's focus on long-term client relationships and efficient, sustainable building operations strengthens the ability to implement and scale PropTech innovations directly within the ongoing operation of properties. This enables practical application of new technologies in existing portfolios.
Zacua Ventures complements the network as an international venture capital investor specialising in the built environment. This globally active company has offices in San Francisco, New York, Singapore, Madrid, and Mexico City. It provides expertise in ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance), construction innovation, and technology-driven efficiency improvements. This strengthens the investment perspective within the network and supports the development and scaling of sustainable PropTech innovations.
Barak Bar-Hen, CEO of Aroundtown, commented that the establishment of ATechX since 2024 demonstrates the need for practical innovations in the real estate industry. The expanded partner network offers young companies with PropTech and AI solutions direct access to global market participants and real estate portfolios. Dr. Pascal Engel, CTO of Apleona, stated that the partnership with ATechX provides Apleona with access to new ideas and innovations at an early stage, allowing them to be specifically integrated into the operational management of properties, thereby creating added value for owners and users.
Mauricio Weiss, CEO of Zacua Ventures, emphasised that ATechX combines access to high-quality real estate portfolios with an international partner network. He views this as an ideal platform to globally advance innovations in the built environment and scale sustainable solutions. ATechX is currently preparing for its fourth cohort and continues to offer start-ups the opportunity to develop, test, and scale their PropTech innovations directly within international real estate portfolios. A key approach here is immediate access to real assets and partner portfolios, enabling the validation and further development of innovations under real market conditions.
