The bauwo Group is developing a logistics centre tailored to specific requirements for Rolls-Royce Solutions in Pocking Business Park, Bavaria. The manufacturer of large engines as well as propulsion and energy solutions has concluded a long-term lease agreement for the property, which will comprise hall, office, service, storage and transhipment areas totalling over 21,700 square metres.
Completion of the property is scheduled for the end of 2027, with Rolls-Royce Solutions expected to commence operations in early 2028. A medium-term option to supplement the logistics centre with an extension building is also foreseen. Legal advice for the bauwo Group was provided by Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft, which offered comprehensive support in structuring and negotiating the lease agreement and the accompanying project documentation.
Sustainability Aspects and Usage
The planned logistics centre is designed for 24/7 operation and will be used and managed in accordance with sustainable principles. Corresponding green lease clauses have been integrated into the lease agreement. Furthermore, certification according to the DGNB Gold standard is being pursued, underscoring the focus on ecological and economic quality. The installation of a photovoltaic system on the roof area is also planned.
Dennis Lammers, Managing Director Development of the bauwo Group, highlighted the importance of an experienced partner in the letting of the logistics centre in Pocking. He explained that Luther supported the bauwo Group throughout the entire process with expertise and pragmatic solutions until the final signing. This underscores the complexity and the need for consultancy in such project developments and long-term lettings in the logistics segment.
