The Henri Hotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, located on Bahnhofstraße, has begun operations following a celebratory consecration by Pastor Lackermeier and Pastor Tikwe. DSR Hotel Holding from Hamburg, as the new operator, presented the hotel, which combines the alpine character of the region with a homely atmosphere and the individual style of the Henri brand. Representatives from politics, tourism, and religion were present at the opening, including the First Mayor of the market town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Daniel Schimmer, and Walter Rutz, Managing Director of GaPa Tourismus GmbH.

Niklas Griffin, Director of Operations at DSR Hotel Holding, and Torsten Vey, Vice President Development & Real Estate at DSR Hotel Holding, welcomed guests together with Hotel Director Niko Stelkens. The hotel emerged from the former Reindl’s Partenkirchner Hof, whose tradition has been integrated into the new concept. Daniel Schimmer described the new opening as a gain for Garmisch-Partenkirchen, as the hotel strengthens the tourist infrastructure and creates synergies with the neighbouring aja Resort, also managed by Nico Stelkens.

The Henri Hotel Garmisch-Partenkirchen features 69 rooms and studios. During the redesign, historical elements and architectural features of the predecessor building, the Reindl’s Partenkirchner Hof, were retained and combined with contemporary interiors. The Holzinger family, owners of the property, remains committed to the traditional establishment and invested comprehensively in its repositioning and long-term development. Marianne Holzinger, property owner, emphasised the importance of an operator who respects the history of the house.

Torsten Vey of DSR Hotel Holding highlighted that the new Henri Hotel is deeply rooted in the history of the location while simultaneously opening a new, contemporary chapter. The hotel aims to preserve authenticity and harmoniously integrate into the destination. Nico Stelkens, who will assume management of both the Henri Hotel and the neighbouring aja Resort Garmisch-Partenkirchen, will implement the concept with a team of around 15 employees. The joint management of both properties allows for the utilisation of operational synergies on site.

The heart of the hotel is a living lounge with a conservatory and the Henri Hausküche, offering breakfast, snacks, and the typical evening snack (Abendjause). This open area with a bar is also accessible to locals. The offering is complemented by a spa area with sauna, steam bath, and relaxation zones, as well as a fitness and yoga room. Its central location near the railway station and Zugspitzbahnhof makes it easily accessible and provides a starting point for regional activities. DSR Hotel Holding thus operates two hotels with differentiated concepts in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

The Henri brand is expanding strategically. In addition to the Garmisch-Partenkirchen location, further projects are in development in Cuxhaven, Travemünde, and Leipzig. DSR Hotel Holding is thus selectively expanding its portfolio in popular holiday regions and attractive urban destinations. Regional cooperation was a key focus during the planning and implementation of the Henri Hotel Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
