Bernhard Visker will leave the management board of B&L Gruppe at the end of June at his own request. After a collaboration of around six years, during which several large-scale development projects were realised, Mr Visker will in future be available to the Hamburg real estate company in an advisory capacity. His decision involves a reorientation towards other professional tasks.

The owner-managed B&L Gruppe operates nationwide in the areas of real estate investment, development, and management. The company's leadership will in future be exercised by Thorsten Testorp, Managing Partner, and Dr. Timo Haenelt, Managing Director, acting as a tandem. They will assume administrative and operational responsibilities for Visker's previous projects, as well as the leadership of the Acquisition, Leasing, Marketing, Human Resources, and Property Management departments.

Company Structure and Projects

The B&L Gruppe employs a team of 150 staff at its locations in Hamburg, Frankfurt a.M., Esslingen, Düsseldorf, and Munich. The company's portfolio includes urban-defining projects. These include the Holzhafen Hamburg district development, where the group's headquarters are also located, as well as the development of the Mercado and Wandsbek Quarre shopping centres in Hamburg. Further projects are the Lago in Konstanz, the multi-award-winning high-street property KII in Düsseldorf, and the Hafenpark Quartier district development in Frankfurt's Ostend district.

Under Bernhard Visker's leadership, significant large-scale projects were realised, including the HPQ Offices in Frankfurt a.M., for which ING DiBa AG was secured as the main tenant. Furthermore, this includes the revitalisation of the Stadtkontor office ensemble at Hamburg Central Station, which incorporates the establishment of a SCANDIC Hotel with 328 beds.

Thanks and Outlook

Thorsten Testorp commented on Bernhard Visker's departure. He highlighted Visker's long-standing expertise in the real estate and financial industries, which was significant in a challenging market environment. Testorp thanked Visker personally and on behalf of the shareholders for their trusting collaboration. Bernhard Visker likewise thanked his colleagues on the management board and the shareholders for their trust and support for his desire for professional change. He expressed his gratitude to the group's employees for their commitment, which he described as making their joint work fulfilling and enriching.
