Dakota Johnson has sold her West Hollywood estate for $6 million. The sale of the meticulously restored modernist residence was completed within a week of its market debut. The actress acquired the property in 2016 for $3.55 million, financed by her earnings from her leading role in “Fifty Shades of Grey”. She subsequently collaborated with the renowned interior design firm Pierce & Ward on a comprehensive renovation.
Johnson famously referred to the house as her 'treehouse' due to the dense canopy of old trees and bamboo surrounding it. The property, owned by Dakota Johnson, is located in West Hollywood, California, and spans 3,210 square feet of living space. It features three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The distinctive architecture by Carl Maston and the interiors designed by Pierce & Ward define the property. A swimming pool, a library/office, a chef’s kitchen, a gated plot, and expansive outdoor areas for entertaining enrich the estate.
The living room of the estate reflects the house's characteristic colour palette, with warm wood finishes, exposed concrete, and large, wood-framed glass walls. A seating arrangement, comprising large sofas and vintage-inspired furniture, defines the space. Adjacent to the living room, the dining room continues the house's warm, modern design approach, furnished with a glass table and mid-century-style seating.
